New Alberta Tartan It’s time, once again, for an artists vision of Alberta’s future with sustainable energy as a priority. The current Alberta Tartan along with the Coal policy, belongs in a museum. Alberta’s coal and oil industry is depicted by a black stripe in the current Alberta Tartan. This cocreated artistic vision of the New Alberta Tartan symbolically replaces the black stripe with natural white as our desire for sustainable energy and responsible use of resources. The new tartan design also includes a rainbow for inclusion of all beings and right relations. Now that we know better we can do better!
